Putin and Mishustin congratulated the residents of Ingushetia on the 250th anniversary of the republic's unity with Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the residents of Ingushetia on the 250th anniversary of Ingushetia's unity with Russia and noted that priority should be given to ensuring peace and stability both in Ingushetia and the North Caucasus as a whole. The telegram was published on Saturday on the Kremlin's website.

 

"It is gratifying that the current generation of the republic's residents have a deep respect for their history, fatherly covenants and customs, and take an active part in addressing key national issues, in implementing popular projects and initiatives in the economy and social sphere, in agro-industrial and tourist complexes. And of course, it is necessary to give priority attention to ensuring peace and stability both in Ingushetia and the North Caucasus as a whole," the President said in his congratulatory message.

 

The President also noted that this event was an important milestone in the fate of the Ingush people, in strengthening the Russian statehood, and the people of Ingushetia can be proud of "the heroic deeds and labor achievements of their ancestors, their unique contribution to the preservation of the original culture and traditions of the peoples of our multinational country".

 

Congratulations of the Prime Minister


Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted in his congratulations that love for the fatherland, purposefulness, diligence are the main components of the development and prosperity of the Republic of Ingushetia and all Russia.

 

"I am convinced that love to the fatherland, purposefulness, diligence will continue to be the main components of development and prosperity of the Republic of Ingushetia and all Russia",  the congratulatory message reads.

 

The Prime Minister noted the importance of the fact that the people of the republic carefully preserve the national culture, traditions and language.

 

The telegram also says that the unique nature of Ingushetia, its reserves, historical and architectural monuments and resort centers provide a great opportunity for recreation and sport.

 

"Today Ingushetia develops and solves new, modern tasks. The republic is actively working to introduce digital technologies in the economy and social sphere, a lot is being done to attract investments, large projects are being implemented in the agro-industrial and construction complexes," the telegram says.

 

The Republic of Ingushetia celebrates the 250th anniversary of the region's entry into Russia on Saturday. In March 1770, near the village of Angusht on a flat terrain called "Barta bose", representatives of the Ingush people took an oath of allegiance to the Russian state. On the 12th of July 1770, an agreement on the voluntary entry of Ingushetia into Russia, signed by Ingush elders, was approved by the Collegium of Foreign Affairs of Russia. In August 1810 in the Vladikavkaz fortress was signed an act of oath of allegiance by the Ingush.
