Putin Orders Creation of Federal Project "Russia in the World"

06 August

Russian President Vladimir Putin has directed the establishment of a federal project titled "Russia in the World," aimed at enhancing international youth cooperation and promoting Russian traditional values abroad. This instruction, resulting from a joint meeting of the State Council and the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects in May, was published on the Kremlin’s website.

The project will encompass various initiatives, including organizing Olympiads and competitions to attract foreign participants, increasing joint scientific research, expanding scientific internship programs for Russian and international students, postgraduates, scientists, and specialists, and hosting international festivals, such as the World Youth Festival.

Additionally, the project will focus on preserving the legacy of the World Youth Festival, which took place in Sirius in March 2024. A report detailing the progress of the project is required to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Council Commission by September 1.
