Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday at a meeting with Head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov discussed, among other things, measures of social support for the population.
At the meeting, Temrezov thanked Putin for additional payments to families with children from 8 to 17 years old, noting that this is "a very serious help for families."
"I think that the chain we are completing, from a woman's pregnancy to her [child's] 17th birthday, it should support all families," the president said.
In addition, Putin asked to pay special attention to social infrastructure facilities, because many of them "require reconstruction, careful attention to them." "And of course, new construction is a must," he added.
The president also asked Temrezov to tell about the reasons for the growth of investments in the region and noted that "industrial production is growing" in Karachay-Cherkessia.
