Russian Space Forces successfully tested a new missile of anti-missile defense system

The Russian Aerospace Forces again successfully tested a new missile of the missile defense system (ABM) at the Sary-Shagan firing ground  (Kazakhstan). This was reported to journalists on Thursday at the Russian Ministry of Defense.


"Another test launch of a new missile of the Russian missile defense system was successfully conducted at the Sary-Shagan firing ground (Kazakhstan)," the military department noted.


As Lieutenant General Andrey Dyomin, the commander of the 1st Air and Missile Defense Army of the Air Force, noted,v "the new missile of the missile defense system after a series of tests reliably confirmed the inherent characteristics, and the combat calculations successfully completed the task, hitting the conditional target with a given accuracy".


The previous time the Russian Defense Ministry reported about the launch of the new missile defense system in late October. Tests were also conducted from Sary-Shagan. At that time, the missile also successfully hit the target.


The anti-missile defense system is in the armament the Aerospace Forces and is intended for protection against strikes of aerospace attack means.
