Coronavirus vaccination has started in all regions of the Russian Federation, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko announced on Tuesday.

"The vaccine has been delivered to all regions of the Russian Federation and vaccination has begun in all regions of the Russian Federation. Before delivery, we had trial logistics [deliveries] to work out [the entire] chain <...>. All regions are ready to receive [the drug] and be vaccinated," he said at the presidium of the governmental coordination council for the fight against the coronavirus.

According to the Minister, standard operating procedures have been additionally developed to ensure the quality of both transportation and storage, as well as the vaccination procedure with memos for patients and medical personnel.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously tasked to organize vaccination throughout the country. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin added that vaccination should be completely voluntary and free of charge. Teachers, doctors and social workers should be the first to receive the vaccine. At the same time, the regions can expand this list. According to Mishustin, the regions will get 480 thousand doses of vaccine in December. The Ministry of Health has already formed a schedule of its distribution across the country.
