According to the Ministry, on Tuesday at 06:17 Moscow time, the destroyer John McCain, which has been in the Sea of Japan for several days, violated the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Peter the Great Gulf, "deepening beyond the sea borderline for 2 km".
"The large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Vinogradov", which directly follows the US destroyer, warned the foreign ship on the inadmissibility of such actions and the possibility of using a ramming maneuver to drive the intruder out of territorial waters. After receiving the warning and changing the course with the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Vinogradov" to the destroyer John McCain, the American ship immediately went into neutral waters", the Ministry reported.
