During a special operation in Chechnya, a militant was liquidated

A member of illegal armed groups was liquidated during a special operation in the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district of the Chechen Republic, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said in his Telegram channel.


"Today, in the course of a successful counter-terrorist special operation in the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district, a member of illegal armed formations Kazbek Baidulaev was killed. The representatives of the law enforcement agencies suffered no casualties. As usual, they worked as professionally and smoothly as possible. There were no accomplices or other members of the underground resistance group with him," he wrote.


The head of Chechnya published an orienteering report about the liquidated man. According to it, in respect of Kazbek Baidulaev, born in 1988, the criminal case on participation in illegal armed formation, and also in illegal armed formation in the territory of a foreign country was opened, he was wanted since 2012.


Kadyrov noted that he had full information about the operation from beginning to end. "We have a thorough knowledge of the situation in the region, we know how many people are wanted and we have an exhaustive database of their accomplices if any. The situation in the Chechen Republic is stable and calm. No restrictive measures have been introduced. Movement is free," said the head of the republic.


A source in the law enforcement agencies said that an improvised explosive device (IED) was found in the possession of the liquidated militant.


"An IED and a grenade were found in his possession during the inspection," the source said.
