Facebook has blocked kadyrov._95 account on Instagram, which it believes belongs to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who is under Western sanctions.

"As an American company, we operate within the framework of the US sanctions legislation and constantly take measures to fulfill our legal obligations. In this case, we deleted the accounts of the person who is under sanctions, just as we did previously with similar accounts," a representative of Facebook said TASS.

Kadyrov himself, going live from this page in the social network, repeatedly noted that this opportunity was provided to him by a member of the press service.

In addition, as the Agency writes, the accounts of State Duma Deputy Adam Delimkhanov, Chairman of the regional Parliament Magomed Daudov and Deputy Prime Minister Abuzayd Vismuradov have become unavailable today.

Facebook and Instagram pages of Kadyrov were previously blocked in 2017. Facebook said that the reason was in the inclusion of the Chechen leader in the US sanctions list. Information about the fact that the head of Chechnya had created new accounts was not officially provided.
