Kadyrov thanked residents of Chechnya for the highest turnout in Russia

The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov thanked the residents of the Republic for actively voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which provided the highest turnout in Russia.


According to the CEC, Chechnya took the first place in turnout for voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation with 95.14% of the voters.


"I express my gratitude to the residents of the Chechen Republic, the leadership of the Election Commission of the Republic, and all employees of territorial and precinct commissions for their active participation in voting and exemplary organization of this process," Kadyrov wrote in the social network Vkontakte.


He also congratulated all Russians on the completion of the all-Russian vote, noting the activity, consciousness, discipline and patriotism of those who came to the polling stations.


Kadyrov expressed confidence that the people made a strategic choice, " which guarantees stability in the development of Russia's socio-economic potential, in preserving the unity of the multi-ethnic and multi-religious Russian people, their traditions, culture and historical heritage, and in increasing the welfare of the population."


Voting on amendments to the Constitution was held in Russia from July 25 to 1. According to the results of processing 100% of the protocols, 77.92% of Russians voted for the adoption of the amendments, 21.27% against. Turnout, according to the CEC, was about 65%.
