More than 14,000 Syrian families received food aid from the public Foundation named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov.

7.3 thousand residents of Eastern Ghouta (a suburb of Damascus) took part in the iftar organized by the Foundation - the evening meal of the month of Ramadan. This was announced by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on his page in VKontakte social network.

"The regional Public Foundation named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov held a charity event in Eastern Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus, during the Holy month of Ramadan for all Muslims. For war-torn refugees and orphans, the Foundation organized an iftar and gave them food. Thanks to the participation of the Foundation, 7.3 thousand residents of Damascus were able to break their fasts, more than seven thousand orphans and families where children left without parents received food packages," the message reads, in particular.

The charity mission of the Foundation in Syria, as Kadyrov recalled, has been going on for about three years. During this period, several million war-affected and poor families received assistance from the organization.
