United Arab Emirates to help Chechnya and Dagestan in the fight against coronavirus

Two planes with medical supplies to fight the COVID-19 coronavirus infection will arrive in Chechnya and Dagestan from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the coming days, the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.


"On the first of June, a plane from the UAE with medical supplies will arrive in Grozny. This assistance was provided to the region by my dear brother, crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi. ( ... ) On June 3, the same amount of medical supply will be sent by flight from the UAE to Dagestan, " the Chechen leader wrote, in particular.


The planes, according to him, will deliver 25 thousand tests for the coronavirus, 15 thousand anti-plague coveralls, 500 thousand gloves, 50 thousand masks, as well as shoe covers, antibacterial agents and napkins.


Such assistance, Kadyrov said, will help "strengthen fraternal and friendly ties between the peoples of the UAE and Russia."


Earlier, the Minister of Health of Chechnya, Elkhan Suleymanov, reported that 1227 cases of infection were registered on the territory of the Republic on May 31. 828 people recovered and 13 died.

In Dagestan, according to the regional operational headquarters for the fight against the coronavirus, 4,955 confirmed cases of infection were registered (plus 125 people per day), 4,427 people recovered, and 235 died.
