First Deputy Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Yefim Fiks called "children's games" Turkey's support of the international platform created by the Ukrainian authorities to regain control over Crimea.
Earlier Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said after negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba in Ankara that he supported Kiev's initiative on the "Crimean platform". Besides, according to him, the Turkish side will continue strengthening relations with Ukraine in the sphere of military cooperation and defense industry.
"These are children's games, which Turkey conducts together with Ukraine. I am surprised that Turkey, being a powerful and authoritative state, plays games with Ukraine, though it understands very well that nothing can be changed in the Crimean question. Crimea is a constituent part of the Russian Federation", FiKs told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the international community should be aware that the creation of the so-called "Crimean platform" is an incomprehensible and unpromising game.
Crimea has become a Russian region after the referendum held there in March 2014, where 96.77% of the electorate of Crimea and 95.6% of Sevastopol residents voted for joining Russia. The Crimean authorities held a referendum after the state revolution in Ukraine in February 2014. Ukraine still considers Crimea its own, but temporarily occupied territory. Russia's leadership has repeatedly stated that the residents of Crimea democratically, in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to the Russian president, the issue of Crimea is 'closed completely'.
