About 760 families in Kabardino-Balkaria have received their firstborn allowance since the beginning of 2023. The total amount of payments exceeded 17 million rubles, the press service of the department of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR) in Kabardino-Balkaria told reporters on Monday.
"This year, the branch of the Social Fund of Russia in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic has provided a one-time allowance at the birth of a child to 756 families in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The total amount of payments was more than 17 million rubles," the report says.
A one-time payment for each child is assigned by the Fund to a non-working parent, a guardian, an adoptive parent or a foster parent of a child. Thus, the recipient of payment can study full-time at the organization of higher, secondary or additional vocational education. An employed parent is paid at their place of work. Allowance at the birth from February 1, 2023, (after indexation by a factor of 11.9%) amounts to 22.9 thousand rubles.
The press service reminded that it is necessary to file an application to the SFR client service or at the MFC not later than six months after the childbirth. The application is considered within 10 working days from the date of receipt of necessary information from organizations and documents of the parent. In some cases, the deadline can be extended by 20 working days, and if the decision is positive, the funds are paid within five working days.
