Fifty refugees from the Gaza Strip have arrived in Kabardino-Balkaria, the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry in the region told reporters.
"A group of refugees from the Gaza Strip has arrived in Kabardino-Balkaria. The citizens, compelled to leave the Gaza Strip, were transported to Moscow via a special flight operated by the Russian Emergencies Ministry from Cairo, and subsequently to Nalchik," the statement said.
The refugees were welcomed and provided accommodations by the employees of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Kabardino-Balkaria. A total of 50 individuals, including 21 children, were housed at the "Resort-Nalchik" resort. The government commission of Kabardino-Balkaria, in collaboration with relevant ministries, coordinated the reception and arrangements for the refugees.
