More than 1,500 servicemen of the mountain motorized rifle unit of the 49th Army will carry out firing exercises at the Kobu-Bashi firing range in Karachay-Cherkessia, the press service of the Southern Military District told journalists on Monday.
Tactical groups of the mountain motorized rifle unit of the 49th Army of the Southern Military District in Karachay-Cherkessia marched to the Kobu-Bashi combined arms range to conduct combat firing in platoons. More than 1.5 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District were involved in tactical exercises, and about 300 units of combat and special equipment were involved.
Servicemen will fulfill a number of tasks at the training range, including firing from self-propelled howitzers "Gvozdika", armament of multi-purpose light armored vehicles and other types of armament. In the end, bilateral tactical exercises with live firing will take place at the range.
