Press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov supported the statement of the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova about the reasons for the growth of COVID-19 incidence.

Earlier she explained the increased number of patients with coronavirus by the nihilistic attitude of citizens to protective measures.
"Total nihilism, the low level of vaccination, and besides, the insidiousness of the infection itself should not be forgotten either," Peskov listed the factors that provoked the worsening of the epidemiological situation.

In the past 24 hours Russia has registered the largest number of COVID-19 cases since February 1 - 17,262 people. The largest share was accounted for by Moscow - 9056. This figure was the maximum during the pandemic.
