Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to come to the 450th anniversary of Ufa in 2024.
"Thank you very much for the invitation, I will try by all means. Ufa is a wonderful place, one of the best, for sure. Ufa has always been one of the centers of the Islamic world in Russia, and now it remains so too," Putin replied to a Bashkir journalist's question about whether he would come to the anniversary.
The president also promised to think about allocating additional money to Ufa for the anniversary.
"You don't need additional resources here in general just for that. Here you just need to use the resources that are already allocated for the development of infrastructure, for the maintenance of road construction, the social sphere, for culture. And just distribute them properly, and maybe even reallocate some of them so that Ufa will be prepared for the event in a beautiful, dignified way, the way it deserves. But if there is more, we can think about additional money. We will decide together with our colleagues from the Republic", he added.
