The second Evening of the Quran, featuring participation from foreign guests, is scheduled to take place in September in Kizlyar. This was announced by the city’s mayor, Alexander Shuvalov.
“A large-scale Evening of the Quran will be held in mid-September at the city stadium in Kizlyar,” Shuvalov informed journalists. “The event will be primarily organized by the Muftiyat of Dagestan, with support from the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the republic and the Kizlyar mayor's office. We hope that this event will foster dialogue between local spiritual leaders, organizations, and the Muftiyat. This is a crucial moment as we continue to defend our country against its enemies,” he added.
Shuvalov emphasized the educational significance of such events, noting that they also help to subtly convey the culture of Islam.
“Our enemies exploit even the smallest disagreements among believers to further their own agendas, attempting to destabilize Dagestan. This must not be allowed. Only by standing together can we resist Nazis, terrorists, extremists, and NATO forces. I have no doubt that the organizers will successfully showcase the best traditions of Islam. I am confident that the Evening of the Quran will be conducted at the highest organizational level, with the involvement of foreign guests,” Shuvalov concluded.
