VII International interreligious youth forum took place in Dagestan

VII International interreligious youth forum took place in the Republic of Dagestan from September 20 to 27. It united youth of three confessions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism.


Greeting the guests and participants of the forum on behalf of the Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev, Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Jafarov emphasized the importance of the interreligious forum, which has already become traditional, making a significant contribution to ensuring close cooperation between representatives of all confessions, preservation and strengthening of peace and harmony, development of high spiritual, moral and ethical values of the modern generation of Russian youth.


The Forum program included many events. VIP-lectures to young participants were given by: Kamil Samigullin, Mufti of Tatarstan, Enrik Muslimov, Minister of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, Muhammad Mayranov, Deputy Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan, Vitaly Tarasov, Secretary of the Makhachkala Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Rasim Shalumov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of Jewish Communities of Dagestan, and others.


A conference on the theme "Role of public and youth associations in the harmonization of interfaith and interethnic relations and prevention of terrorism and extremism ideology" was held within the forum. In three parallel sections, there was an active discussion of the most important problems of our time: current state and perspectives of ethno-confessional relations in Russia, implementation of social projects aimed at the prevention of ideology of extremism and terrorism, as well as prevention of extremist ideology on the Internet.
