The bandit opened fire on law enforcement officers and detonated an improvised explosive device while being detained in Ingushetia during a counter-terrorism operation (CTO), he was neutralized. This was reported to TASS in the Information Center of the National Anti-terrorist Committee (NAC).
Security agencies found an armed attacker on Wednesday in a forest near the village of Ali-Yurt, working under the regime of CTO in the Nazran district of Ingushetia.
"In response to the offer to lay down weapons, he opened fire. During the ensuing shootout, the bandit detonated an improvised explosive device and was neutralized by law enforcement forces, " the NAC reported, adding that weapons, ammunition and remnants of IEDs were found at the scene of the shootout.
