The first air show in Ingushetia with the participation of MiG-29 fighters will be held on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Republic's unity with Russia. There also will be a theatrical performance and a concert, the press service of the head of the region told TASS.
"The main celebrations will be held on October 10 at the updated stadium in Sunzha. Guests and residents of the Republic will enjoy a performance consisting of three parts. The event will be opened with an extreme and spectacular flight of the Russian air force's Strizhi air group. Seven MiG-29 fighters will demonstrate aerobatics. The air show will be a kind of premiere. The legendary Strizhi have never performed in Ingushetia," the press service said.
The second part of the event will be a theatrical performance that will take the audience to two and a half hundred years ago. "The main milestones in the history of Ingushetia were specially transferred to the format of choreographic, musical and poetic works. New productions will be presented by the state ensembles - "Ingushetia", "Magas" and the children's choreographic ensemble "Liig". The best horsemen of Ingushetia will reproduce battle scenes from the times of ancient Magas, actors of Republican theaters will show scenes from the chronicle of the people in a performance and plastic sketches. The third part of the holiday is a big concert, where people's artist of the Russian Federation and Georgia Tamara Gverdtsiteli, honored artist of the Russian Federation and people's artist of Ingushetia Tamara Yandieva and many others will perform," the press service said, adding that the celebrations will end with fireworks from the Sunzhensky ridge.
In March 1770, near the village of Angusht in a flat area called "Barta Bose", representatives of the Ingush people took an oath of allegiance to the Russian state. On July 12, 1770, the agreement on the voluntary entry of Ingushetia into Russia, signed by the Ingush elders, was approved by the Board of Foreign Affairs of Russia. In August 1810, an act of the Ingush oath was signed in the Vladikavkaz fortress.
