A new team of doctors from Moscow arrived in Ingushetia to help the population and doctors of the Republic in the fight against the coronavirus. Six specialists from the capital will work for two weeks in medical institutions of the Republic that have been repurposed for the treatment of patients with the coronavirus.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin to send teams of Moscow medical workers, as well as part of the reserve of medicines and medical equipment, to regions that need support in the fight against the coronavirus. On May 28, the first group of doctors from Moscow arrived in Ingushetia, and within two weeks, they examined and consulted more than 250 patients with the coronavirus. Moscow doctors also conducted online seminars for Ingush doctors in various areas.

"We have a new group of Moscow doctors who will also be in the republic for two weeks. The purpose of the visit is to provide advice, methodological and practical assistance to our doctors and those hospitals that work in conditions of the coronavirus infection. The group will start working today; the first point is the Ingush Republican clinical hospital. In general, the epidemic situation in the Republic is on the decline, there are fewer patients in hospitals, and the level of detected cases of the coronavirus infection is lower," Zarema llanova, the Minister of Health of the Republic, told to reporters of TASS.

The team of doctors consists of six specialists: a surgeon, an infectious disease specialist, an endocrinologist, a resuscitator, a radiologist, and an anesthesiologist.

"Our priority task is to meet with our colleagues who have been working here for two weeks, to understand the operational situation, what is happening in the Republic, what tasks they faced and what they managed to accomplish, what is left for our participation. We hope that the experience we have accumulated will help local doctors," Igor Rannev, senior team doctor and surgeon at the Moscow Department of health's city clinical hospital No. 13, told reporters.

Earlier it was reported that six Moscow medical teams were sent to the regions of Russia to work in Dagestan, North Ossetia, Ingushetia, the Trans-Baikal territory, Vladimir and Pskov. The teams that have arrived will replace the doctors who are currently providing assistance in the regions in the fight against the coronavirus on behalf of the mayor of Moscow. The doctors of the first teams will pass information about the situation in the region to their colleagues and will return to the capital in the near future.
