Meeting between Putin and Head of North Ossetia to Take Place in the Kremlin

11 November

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Sergey Menyaylo, in the Kremlin. The meeting was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing.

“President Putin is working in the Kremlin, and his schedule is relatively calm without any major public events,” Peskov explained. “Instead, there are a series of meetings, and one of them is a public meeting with Sergey Menyaylo, the Head of North Ossetia-Alania.”

“They have known each other for a while, and the governor also has some pressing issues to discuss,” Peskov added.

This will be the latest public meeting between Putin and Menyaylo, following their previous encounter in August during the president's working visit to North Ossetia. Their previous discussion on regional development took place in the Kremlin last October.
