Fast-food chain Burger King has inaugurated two halal restaurants in Kazan as of December 2023, according to the company's announcement.
"As of December 2023, two Burger King restaurants have been launched in Kazan, offering products that fully comply with Halal standards," the company reported. It highlighted that the Halal Standard Committee of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan oversees all stages of cooking, ensuring compliance from the acceptance of raw materials to the creation of conditions for consumption.
The company received certification from the Halal Standard Committee, confirming the restaurants' ability to adhere to the Halal standard in food production.
"We are ready to open more halal restaurants not only in Kazan but also in other cities of our country if there is demand," stated Ivan Shestov, the company's commercial director, as quoted in the report.
