Dear Compatriots,
I cordially congratulate you on a significant date—the Day of the Official Adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria.
More than eleven centuries ago, in 922, our ancestors made a historic choice. This decision shaped the destiny of the Tatar people and influenced the development of the entire Muslim civilization.
Here, on the banks of the Volga River, a unique cultural space was formed, characterized by the interpenetration of cultures and close interfaith interactions.
Today, the revived Bolgar once again serves as a center of attraction for religious, state, and public figures, scientists, cultural representatives, and numerous guests from around the world. The Izge Bolgar zhyeny is a vivid testament to the continuity of generations, true patriotism, and adherence to traditional spiritual values. All of this acquires special significance in the Year of the Family, as proclaimed by the President of the Russian Federation, V.V. Putin.
In such crucial times, we jointly confront external challenges and threats, taking care of the development, well-being, and security of our multinational Fatherland.
A new impetus to interreligious dialogue and international cooperation was given by recent events held in Kazan: the economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World," and the All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Leaders. The participation of reputable compatriots and foreign guests in these events confirms our commitment to fruitful intra-Islamic and inter-religious dialogue, the development of sustainable international ties, and constructive state-religious cooperation.
I am convinced that this year's celebration of the Day of the Official Adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria will be marked by sincere prayers, friendly meetings, and good deeds.
I wish you all happiness, peace, and prosperity! May Allah Almighty protect us and our great Fatherland!
