The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, expressed the interest of Tatarstan's business community in expanding its presence in the markets of Turkmenistan during a meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan, as reported by the official newspaper Neytralny Turkmenistan.
Minnikhanov highlighted the promising prospects of the Turkmen market, which benefits from the favorable investment climate established in Turkmenistan and the country's strong international reputation as a reliable partner committed to fulfilling its obligations. He also pointed out the dynamic and productive nature of the cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, which is thriving within the framework of interstate dialogue with the Russian Federation.
As examples of successful collaboration, Minnikhanov mentioned Turkmenistan's longstanding partnerships with Tatarstan companies such as Kamaz, Tatneft, CARE-Holding, and the Kazan Helicopter Plant. In the context of advancing trade and economic relations, he emphasized the crucial role played by the Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation, which oversees a wide range of bilateral interactions.
