Aliyev and Beglov Discuss Investment Cooperation between Azerbaijan and St. Petersburg

The press service of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reported that discussions took place in Baku between President Aliyev and Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg, regarding the potential expansion of bilateral cooperation in investment.

 

"President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev welcomed Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, for talks. The meeting focused on exploring avenues to enhance trade, economic, and investment opportunities, as well as strengthening collaboration across humanitarian, cultural, and educational sectors. Both parties expressed mutual interest in reinforcing bilateral ties," the report stated.

 

During the discussions, Aliyev highlighted the significance of Beglov's visit in facilitating dialogue on future cooperation. "It was acknowledged during the meeting that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia continue to develop across various domains. Emphasis was placed on the role of Azerbaijan's collaboration with specific regions of Russia, including St. Petersburg, in bolstering Azerbaijan-Russia relations," as outlined by the press service.
