The Kyrgyz authorities see no need to sign a bilateral agreement with Russia on the organized sending of migrant workers to its territory, the press service of the Kyrgyz ministry of foreign affairs, foreign trade and investment told TASS on Thursday.

"Given that the Kyrgyz Republic is part of the EAEU association, the citizens of the republic when concluding labor contracts can be in the Russian Federation and work in accordance with Russian law without any restrictions," said a representative of the press service.

Therefore, according to him, at the intergovernmental level, there are no agreements signed with the Russian side on the organized sending of Kyrgyz migrant workers. Although neighboring Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have similar practices.

At the same time, the press service noted that the information and consulting center of the department of external migration of the Kyrgyz foreign ministry assists compatriots in organized recruitment for work in Russia.

Currently, the center has concluded agreements with 22 Russian employers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Amur, Sakhalin, Tula, Moscow and Leningrad regions as well as the Khanty-Mansi autonomous district.

"The Russian Federation remains an important and main area of employment for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic," the foreign ministry stressed.
