Libya is interested in Russian aviation equipment, including SSJ 100 and MS-21 passenger planes and helicopters, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade reported following a meeting between the head of the Ministry Denis Manturov and Ahmed Maiteeq, the Deputy Chairman of Libya's National Accord Government.
"The Libyan side confirmed its interest in Russian aviation equipment, including SSJ 100 and MS-21 passenger planes, as well as civil multifunctional helicopters," the report said.
The parties also agreed to work on joint projects in topical and socially important areas such as medicine and pharmaceuticals.
"We see significant potential for diversifying the nomenclature of trade and increasing its volume through the implementation of joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation in a wide range of areas," the ministry quotes Manturov as saying.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the meeting reviewed the prospects for the participation of Russian companies in the reconstruction of industrial, energy, agricultural, transport and social infrastructure facilities in Libya.
According to the results of 11 months of 2020, the Russian-Libyan trade turnover decreased by 20%, amounting to about $ 112 million, and the main part of supplies (about 80%) falls on the Russian exports of agricultural products and food.
