The trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan should reach the record levels of mutual trade by the end of the year, Russian prime minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"It (the volume of trade turnover - ed.) has already exceeded 16 billion dollars. And at the end of the year, I am absolutely sure ... we must reach record levels of mutual trade, which cannot fail to please us," he said at a meeting with the prime minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.
Mishustin reminded that trade between the two countries is back on the growth track, and from January to August, its volume has increased by more than a third compared to the same period in 2020.
Mamin, in turn, noted the great existing potential, which, he said, should be further developed.
"I am sure that by the end of the year we will reach more than $20 billion in trade with you... There are all opportunities for that," said Mamin.
