OPEC+ member countries will discuss the situation on the oil market

03 April 2020

Saudi Arabia has called for an urgent meeting of OPEC + member countries and other states. Riyadh wants to discuss a fair agreement and restore balance in the oil markets.

TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan reports today that the meeting of OPEC+ Ministers to stabilize the oil market will be held on Monday, April 6.

Oil prices actually collapsed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, which hit demand, as well as the collapse of the OPEC+deal.

The participants were not able to agree on changing the parameters of the agreement or extending it. Such an imbalance of supply and demand in the market, as noted, has not been seen for the last 18 years.
