Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov thanked Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin for his assistance in tax reform and implementation of projects on marking goods and medicines in Uzbekistan.
"We appreciate directly your constant attention to the development of Uzbek-Russian cooperation. Especially I would like to mention the fact that on your initiative in Uzbekistan we started a tax reform, with your help, thanks to technical assistance and a grant from the Russian Federation, we are completing the first stage of this large institutional measure," Aripov told Mishustin during a meeting in Almaty, where both prime ministers arrived to participate in a meeting of the intergovernmental council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Aripov mentioned that on the eve of their meeting with the Russian Prime Minister, the heads of the tax services summed up the first stage of this work. "Just the day before, our head of the tax service reported to me. They have very good cooperation, they are already working on the second stage. And it is yielding very good results in general for bringing the economy and tax solvency in Uzbekistan, for which we are very grateful," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan also thanked the head of the Russian government for his assistance in implementing the project on labeling alcohol, tobacco products, medicines and electronics.
