The discussion of joint Tajik-Russian investment projects and the establishment of enterprises with Russian capital in Tajikistan was one of the key topics during the bilateral meeting between Presidents of Tajikistan and Russia Emomali Rahmon and Vladimir Putin in Bishkek. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik leader.
"The heads of state welcomed the positive growth in our mutual trade turnover, the signing of significant contracts between our business communities, agreements for establishing joint ventures with Russian investments in Tajikistan, and the progress in implementing various investment projects in the field of industrial cooperation," the statement declared.
Furthermore, the leaders explored matters related to enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including banking, finance, investments, energy, agriculture, and more, as noted by the press service.
The meeting between Rahmon and Putin took place prior to the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting, scheduled for October 13 in Bishkek.
