Rosatom Identifies El Dabaa NPP as a Priority Project

The El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is one of Rosatom's top priority foreign projects, Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom said following a meeting with Egypt's Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Esmat.

 

“Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev and Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly discussed the progress of the El Dabaa NPP project, highlighting the rapid pace of construction,” reported the press service of JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE), Rosatom's engineering division. Likhachev expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for his continued support of the project and noted that he had engaged in productive talks with Minister Mahmoud Esmat during his visit to Egypt.

 

“This was our first meeting since Mr. Esmat assumed the role of Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and we had a fruitful dialogue. The El Dabaa NPP is among Rosatom's priority foreign projects,” Likhachev stated.
