On December 21, Rosselkhoznadzor sent a notification to the Committee of State Inspection in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan on the identification of dangerous viruses in products.

On December 28, in the course of negotiations, the Russian agency additionally notified the Kazakh side about the situation and asked to provide the results of the investigation and information about the measures taken to prevent the supply of products infected with dangerous viruses to Russia.
