This year Russia will establish a trade mission in Syrian Damascus. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on November 10.
"To establish a trade mission of the Russian Federation in the Syrian Arab Republic in Damascus in 2020," the document says.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has been instructed to approve the structure and staff schedule of the representative office.
The trade mission of the Russian Federation in Syria was closed down on January 1, 2006.
