Arab countries have their own interests regarding oil prices and are discussing it within the frames of OPEC+, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and African countries Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Friday.
"These issues are being discussed within OPEC+, and I think the position there is consensual and they proceed from their own interests and not from the fact that someone dictates to them some decisions that do not coincide with their own ideas about the price," the diplomat said, responding to a question about the Arab countries' reaction to the West's decision to introduce a price ceiling on Russian oil.
"Reasonable people proceed from the economic laws of the market. Demand and supply, the balance between the interests of consumers and suppliers, that's how the price is determined," Bogdanov added.
