The Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) and the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay Region of Kazakhstan signed a five-year memorandum of cooperation, the press service of the UCCI said. The parties also agreed to work on the synchronization of laws and regulations in the organization of business meetings and jointly develop proposals for the unification of the legislation of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

"The Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay Region (Republic of Kazakhstan) signed a memorandum of cooperation online," reads the report.

According to the text of the memorandum (available to TASS), the parties agreed to work together to synchronize regulations for the organization of business meetings and exhibitions, consultations on the participation of enterprises in state tenders for supplies to the EEU member states. The agreement also refers to cooperation in the sphere of marketing services, joint elaboration of recommendations and proposals on harmonization of the legislation of the EEU member states.

"Business goes where it is easier and clearer to build relationships. The Republic of Kazakhstan has become Sverdlovsk region's key partner in terms of trade turnover in recent years, coming in second place after China and ahead of the United States. "The 'pivot to the East' has shown its effectiveness, and we are ready to continue working in this direction," Mikhail Kozlov, Vice President of the Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted.

Sayat Zhusipbekov, First Deputy Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay region, who participated in the signing of the document, emphasized that the new level of cooperation between the regions is determined by the historically established ties and the realities of the times. "The constant demand of Kostanay region consumers for products of Sverdlovsk region enterprises, primarily metallurgical and machine-building industries, is a sustainable incentive for expansion of foreign economic relations and expansion of cooperation," Zhusipbekov said.

In order to study the demand and offers for various goods and services, as well as to expand cooperation, an exchange of business missions of entrepreneurs from both regions will be organized in the near future.
