Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and General Director of Engineering Dimension International Investment of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Hiji agreed to develop a road map and establish a working group to develop cooperation in energy and industry, the ministry's press service said on Wednesday.
"The parties discussed potential cooperation in such areas as the construction of new large hydropower plants, investment projects for the construction of high-voltage power lines, petrochemicals and processing industry, as well as cooperation in the field of textile clusters," the statement said.
The agency added that the meeting, which was attended by Tajikistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, partners and representatives of this company from the United States, China, Australia and Germany, considered cooperation in the production and installation of high and medium power electrical transformers, substations and power lines. "In order to implement promising projects, it was decided to jointly establish a road map and a working group," the press service concluded.
