Tatarstan Participates in "Innoprom. Central Asia" Exhibition

24 April

Tatarstan is considering the construction of an aerated concrete plant in Bukhara, according to information provided to TASS on the sidelines of the "Innoprom. Central Asia" exhibition in Tashkent by Sergey Mayorov, the Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Cluster of Tatarstan.

"We have received interest from the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan regarding Bukhara. He would like us to build a plant there for building materials, particularly aerated concrete, for a large construction project. Negotiations were held yesterday, and this matter has been included in the roadmap," Mayorov stated.

He highlighted that the project is cutting-edge, requiring four times less space than traditional plants and employing four times fewer staff, with a payback period of only one and a half years.

The First Tatarstan Company to Enter Algeria Soon

The first Tatarstan-based company will enter Algeria within a month, as announced during the "Innoprom. Central Asia" exhibition in Tashkent. This company will focus on product supply and service provision.

"We can confirm that within a month, the first Tatarstan company will open in Algeria. For now, this company will act as a single point of contact for product supply and services, with further plans for localization. We will assess the market opportunities available to us," Mayorov said.

He mentioned that a delegation from Algeria visited the region and evaluated 50 companies considering production localization in Africa upon reaching certain turnover targets.

Mayorov stated that the African side has expressed interest in Tatarstan's expertise in energy, oil and gas engineering, as well as modern technologies.

In 2021, the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, which has been held in Russia since 2010, was held abroad for the first time in Uzbekistan. The fourth international exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia" is currently taking place in Tashkent from April 22 to 24.
