Russian tourists will have no problems paying for goods and services in Turkey using bank cards of the Mir payment system, Nureddin Nebati, the republic's Minister of Finance and Treasury, said on Tuesday.
"Russia has the Mir payment system. Mir cards are very well used, the share of businesses accepting them in Turkey is about 15%. There will be no problems [for tourists from Russia]," he said.
The share of enterprises, which cooperate with the Russian Mir payment system, is about 15% in Turkey.
Fill rate of Turkish hotels will reach 92% in May, revenues from tourism in 2022 are expected to reach $35 billion.
