Turkey's Energy Minister to leave for Russia on October 11 to discuss gas supplies

Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Fatih Donmez will travel to Russia on October 11 to discuss gas supplies to the country, a source of the country's energy ministry told TASS on Monday.


"Tomorrow, Mr. Minister will leave for Russia, during the visit a number of contacts will be held on various energy topics, especially on gas supplies. Meetings will be held with high-ranking officials. He is also expected to take part in Russian Energy Week," the source said.


The Russian Energy Week international forum scheduled for October 12-14 is one of the key venues for discussion of the current trends in the development of the modern fuel and energy complex. The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Russian ministry of energy with the support of the Moscow city government.


The event is traditionally held at the highest level with the participation of the Russian president, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, heads of foreign energy agencies and international organizations, heads of major international and Russian energy companies, representatives of the business, expert and media communities.
