Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin during a meeting with the governor of the Krasnoyarsk region Alexander Uss discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the government of Kazakhstan.
"As Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic Serik Zhumangarin noted at the meeting, Kazakhstan aims to expand interregional cooperation with the Russian Federation. For the first half year 2022 foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Krasnoyarsk region amounted to $75,217.7 thousand, an increase of 77.7% compared to the same period last year. About 200 enterprises of the region already have trade relations with Kazakhstan," the message says.
It was noted that in August 2022 an agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific and humanitarian spheres was reached between the representatives of the Akmola region and the administration of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region. At the same time, according to mutual recognition of the meeting participants, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation have great opportunities for strengthening interrelations in various directions.
"In turn, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation Alexander Uss expressed his interest in finding new markets and alternative logistical directions for Russian exports. The head of the region told about the competitive advantages of Krasnoyarsk region and invited the Kazakh businessmen to cooperate in the sphere of aluminum processing, timber industry and forestry. The region also has significant experience in mechanical engineering and metal processing, agriculture, food industry, woodworking and chemical industry", the press-service explained.
At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to exchange the list of enterprises for the operative establishment of direct contacts between the parties.
