Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has arrived in Kazan, where a face-to-face meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held on April 29-30.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to begin his work in the capital of Tatarstan with a meeting with the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov.
Also on Wednesday the head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers is scheduled to meet with his colleagues from Belarus and Kazakhstan, Roman Golovchenko and Askar Mamin. Mishustin is expected to continue bilateral contacts on Thursday and Friday.
A narrow meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held on Thursday and an enlarged one on Friday. As the press service of the Russian Federation Cabinet of Ministers reported earlier, the heads of governments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia will discuss urgent tasks to deepen integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Special attention will be paid to the issues of domestic market functioning, customs and tariff regulation as well as prospects of cooperation in space research.
In addition, the heads of government will consider the main directions of industrial cooperation within the EEU until 2025.
The meeting is expected to be attended by state-observers of the union and invited guests.
