Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said there were no plans for a new telephone conversation between Russian and US leaders Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden on Ukraine.
"There is no such conversation [in the plans] right now," he responded to a related question from journalists.
"Yes, and it is difficult to call the interlocutors partners now, with all the desire," Peskov added. Nevertheless, the Kremlin spokesman noted, such conversations are in any case every time a good opportunity to bring the reasoning to the interlocutors and explain the essence of the special military operation in Ukraine.
On February 12, the presidents of Russia and the US had a telephone conversation. Previously, Putin and Biden spoke by phone late last year. Earlier, on December 7, they also had talks via videoconference. The first face-to-face meeting between Putin and Biden as leaders was held in Geneva in June 2021.
