Doctors from Tatarstan arrived in Kazakhstan to exchange experience

A group of doctors from Tatarstan arrived in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan (in the South of the country) as part of cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus infection, the press service of the administration of the Kazakhstan region reported on Tuesday.


"The main purpose of the visit of foreign specialists is to provide medical assistance and exchange experience in the treatment of COVID-19 and pneumonia," the report says.


According to the head of the health department of Zhambyl region Marat Zhumankulov, specialists from Tatarstan will get acquainted with the protocols of treatment of coronavirus and pneumonia in the region, will provide consulting and methodological assistance to Kazakhstani doctors.

 


"All the specialists who came to us have a high qualification and category. They will get acquainted with the work of the regional health system and organizations involved in the treatment of patients with coronavirus and pneumonia. The visit program includes visits to these hospitals, as well as polyclinic facilities, Central district hospitals," Zhumankulov's words are quoted in the press release.


According to him, Russia has accumulated a wealth of experience in the treatment of COVID-19, so the arrival of Russian specialists will improve the work in this direction.


"This is a two-way visit. We did not come to teach anyone anything, but to compare our experience and yours in the treatment of coronavirus infection, the model of nursing seriously ill patients, to see how your structures of medical care are organized, and to demonstrate our achievements," the press service quotes Alexander Vanyushin, an anesthesiologist and resuscitator at the Republican clinical oncology hospital of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan.


In Kazakhstan, 1526 cases of coronavirus infection were detected over the past day, the total number of infections reached 84,648. The number of recovered patients exceeds 54.4 thousand. There are 610 cases of coronavirus deaths in the country. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan introduced a two-week quarantine in the country from July 5 due to the complication of the epidemiological situation and the increase in the incidence of COVID-19, later the restrictions were extended until August 2.


On March 11, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of a new COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 16 million cases of infection have been identified in the world, and more than 646 thousand people died.
