In Moscow, a meeting was held between the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov with the former Deputy Chairman of the opposition Syrian Negotiating Committee, Khaled Mahamid.
During the conversation, the parties held a thorough exchange of views on the prospects for a political settlement in Syria.
Special attention was paid to the formation of the Constitutional Committee and the launch of its work in Geneva in accordance with the decision of the Congress of the Syrian National Dialogue in Sochi.
Furthermore, the restoration of the socio-economic infrastructure of the Arab Republic issues were raised as well.
