First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council (RMC) Rushan hazrat Abbyasov met with the adviser of Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mustafa Gunduz.
Rais Yanglichev, specialist of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Moscow, and Ismail Gindullin, leading specialist of the International Department of the RMC, also took part in the meeting, the press service of the RMC reports.
Rushan Abbyasov spoke about the close historical ties between Muslims of the two countries, stressing that the RMC has been actively cooperating with the Department for Religious Affairs of Turkey for many years.
"The parties agreed on further cooperation to preserve the true spiritual values of Islam and the peoples of the two states," the message reads.
