Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov held telephone talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the heads of diplomacy of the two countries held a thorough exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, including the situation in Syria and Libya, as well as the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli settlement.
"The parties confirmed the mutual intention to strengthen Russian-Egyptian cooperation in the settlement of existing conflicts in the region," the message reads.
