The visit of UN Special Envoy on Syria Geir Pedersen to Russia is being worked out, and Moscow is ready to accept him at any moment after the agreement of the parties, Alexander Lavrentyev, the Russian President's Special Representative for Syria, told reporters on Wednesday.
"I think the issue [of Pedersen's visit] will be coordinated through the appropriate channels. We are ready to receive him at any time that will suit both sides," he said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Pedersen had been invited to Russia. According to him, the UN Special Envoy may visit Russia in July.
